About Ellicottville
A four-season mountain village in the heart of Western New York — and the community working to keep it thriving.
The Village
Tucked into the rolling hills of Cattaraugus County, Ellicottville is Western New York’s premier year-round destination. What started as a quiet ski town has grown into a vibrant village with a walkable downtown, locally owned shops, craft breweries, and a calendar packed with festivals from January through December.
Two ski resorts — HoliMont and Holiday Valley — anchor the winter season, while summer and fall bring mountain biking, hiking, golf, and some of the most stunning foliage in the Northeast. The village itself is the draw as much as the landscape: a tight-knit community where visitors quickly feel like locals.
The Chamber
The Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce is the voice of the local business community and the front door for visitors planning a trip. We promote tourism, support our member businesses, and work to strengthen the economic vitality of the region.
From coordinating signature events like Fall Fest and Mardi Gras to publishing visitor guides and connecting travelers with local businesses, the Chamber plays a central role in making Ellicottville the destination it is today.
